Handball Masculino Panamericanos 2023
Handball, handball or handball (in English), is a ball sport in which two teams compete and is characterized by transporting the ball with the hands. Each team is made up of 7 players (6 field players and a goalkeeper), and the team can have 7 other players (or less, or none) and up to 9 reserves in official competitions that can be exchanged at any time with their teammates. It is played on a rectangular field, with a goal on each side of the field. The objective of the game is to move a ball across the field, using mainly your hands, to try to get it into the opponent's goal, an action called a goal. The team that scores the most goals at the end of the match, which consists of two thirty-minute halves, is the winner, and may also realize a tie.
The handball that is played today can be placed in the 19th century in Northern Europe, as we already mentioned. It was described and regulated for the first time in 1906 by the Danish professor Holger Nielsen. Already in 1917 Heiser, Schelenz and Konihgt published the first "modern" regulation in Berlin, Germany.
For the third date of Group B of the Pan American Games, Argentina beat the Caribbean team, Cuba, 28:20 in a duel that went from low to high and advanced to the semifinals with a perfect score. The National Team will face Chile on Friday at 8:00 p.m. for a place in the final.
