One Direction separates
One Direction was one of the most popular boy bands of recent times, so their split left many fans shocked.
One Direction rose to fame in 2010, after their appearance on the show 'The X Factor'. Confirmed by Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik, they split on March 25, 2015; However, many fans are still baffled by the end of this era. Especially this Sunday, July 23, which fans have called One Direction Day.
Zayn Malek was the first to say that he was not comfortable with the music he produced in One Direction. In an interview with 'Fader' magazine, he expressed: “Every time he suggested something, it was like it didn't fit with us. There was just a general conception that management already had of what they wanted for the band and they just weren't convinced of what we were selling.” In later interviews, he also mentioned that he never wanted to be in the band and that he didn't even talk to his former bandmates.
Harry Styles, for his part, explained to 'Rolling Stone' magazine that they all agreed to take a break because "he didn't want to exhaust the band's fan base." In addition, he stressed that he would be delighted to meet in the future. In 2020, the year of the band's 10th anniversary, the 'Golden' singer confirmed this with an emotional post.
Finally, Louis Tomlinson said that he was barely feeling confident with the band when they broke up. “I was surprised to a certain extent, so I didn't have any plans or anything like that,” he said in an interview with 'ODE Entertainment.
