They plan a way to get her out of the tower: he will go every night, avoiding the witch who visits her during the day, and he will bring silk, with which Rapunzel will weave until it forms a kind of rope.  But the witch discovers them and cuts Rapunzel's hair, then abandons her in the swamp.
When the prince visits Rapunzel again, the witch takes care of her and makes the prince climb by her hair, which she had cut off Rapunzel.

When the prince goes up he meets the witch in the tower, she tells him that she will never see Rapunzel again.  He, desperate, falls from the tower onto some thorns and is blinded. He ends up giving up because he will no longer see the young woman.
Shortly after, while wandering through the swamp, the prince met Rapunzel, who upon seeing him, decided to take him to his house.
Rapunzel cries sad and frustrated with pain;  Rapunzel's tears fall into the handsome prince's eyes and he regains his sight.  So, the prince and Rapunzel return to the kingdom, get married, and live happily ever after.
