Taylor Swift released "1989 (Taylor's Version)"
Taylor Swift has just released a new re-recording on October 27th. It's her 14th studio album. She previoulsy released this album on October 27th 2014 but she has been re-recording her previous albums due to a dispute with her former record label, Big Machine Label Group. In 2019, the news broke that Big Machine had sold the master rights of her first six albums to an entrepreneur named Scooter Braun, which meant Taylor Swift had no control over her own earlier music. To regain control and ownership of her songs, Taylor Swift announced her intention to re-record these albums. This would allow her to own the new recordings and have more control over her music. This process was carried out with albums such as "Fearless (Taylor's Version)" and "Red (Taylor's Version)," "Speak Now (Taylor's Version)" and "1989 (Taylor's Version)".
Taylor managed to take advantage of this problem and released a lot of unreleased songs from her previous albums.
